Description

Boat

Seamore Papua sailing in the eastern part of Indonesia from Komodo area to Takabonerate, Ambon, Banda, Misool and Raja Ampat since 2015. Measuring 32 meters long and 7.5 meters wide, she cruises at 10 knots per hour and provides a 240 volt power on board. She was designed comfortably to accommodate up to 18 passengers. It is fully equipped with GPS, a radio communication system, a depth sounder and 2 life rafts.

Seamore Papua is pecifically designed for liveaboard diving trips, it provides a dedicated dive-deck with gear-up stations assigned for each diver throughout the cruise. You will find on board 2 Bauer compressors as well as 30 tanks. Dives will take place from 2 speedboats including life jackets.

Seamore Papua offers on its upper deck two dining areas, one indoor and the other outdoor. The top deck comes with a partially shaded sun deck including loungers when you can relax between two dives while enjoying beautiful views of the sea.

All facilities on board have been upgraded for your safety and all crew members will always be ready to serve every guest to make sure that you feel pleasure and comfort during your stay.


Cabin

Seamore Papua has 9 guest cabins which can welcome up to 18 guests.

All cabins comes with air-condition, en-suite bathroom and hot fresh water.

1 Suite Cabin:
Located on the main deck, equipped with one double bed.

1 Deluxe Double Cabin:
Located on the main deck, equipped with one double bed.

3 Deluxe Twin Cabins:
Located on the main deck, equipped with two single beds.

2 Standard Double Cabins:
Located on the lower deck, equipped with one double bed.

2 Standard Twin Cabins:
Located on the lower deck, equipped with two single beds.


Diving

Best time to visit Raja Ampat
Raja Ampat which is located on the equator line has the advantage of very warm with about 12 hours day times all year-round. Underwater temperature is also warm with average temperature between 28 - 30C.

Time to dive Raja Ampat from October to April, although the really best period is in the mid-October to mid- December time.


KOMODO NATIONAL PARK

Best time to visit Komodo Island
Komodo National Park as one the best dive sites not to be missed in this world, the topography of the island giving the advantage to be able to dive all year round either in north and south of the park.

Northern park common underwater temperature between 27 – 28C and clear and the best season from April until December. In the Southern park best season to dive is from October to May and average underwater temperature between 23 – 24 C with lesser visibility compare to the northern park.

Though this area are the favorite site amongst the photographers due to more colorful reef with variety of soft coral, large brands, sea fans and very rich of nudibranch, frog fish, pygmy seahorse etc.


AMBON-BANDA

Ambon is world famous amongst keen muck divers for it's impressive wide range of macro life and in shallow water. Best time to visit Ambon
Ambon and Banda islands even though nit far from each other, but the weather are quite different. Throughout the year we could dive in Ambon and Banda. The good time to visit and dive from October to April, with the best period is mid October to mid December. Both air and underwater temperature in the region are warm average 27 – 30C.


ALOR

Alor with its smoldering volcanoes reaching down into crystal clear waters fringed with pristine coral reefs and stretch of white beaches. Located in the middle of nowhere due to its mountainous topography and difficult to pass from one side to another become remotely away from crowd, with nearby islands of Lembata and Kalabahi...

Best time to visit Alor
Alor which offers both coral reef and muck dive are dive able all year round, but the best time will be from March to December. The normal underwater temperature between March to April and between October to November could be around 25C, then in between May to September up to 30C. Some pelagic as Mola Mola or Sun fish and Orca etc also known passing Alor region and often spotted in September.

Informations pratiques

Alor

Best time for diving
April to November, as this is when both visibility and weather are at their best, while September is the best time to spot Mola Mola. The currents usually are strongest in October and November, making conditions more challenging. From late December until early March, Alor is usually considered as off-season due to the rainy season.

About temperatures
Air : winter months are between 26°C - 29°C, summer months are between 27°C - 32°C.
Sea : between 25°C - 27°C from March to April & October to November, between 27°C - 30°C from May to September. Thermoclines are common year round, the water can drop at times to 22°C or lower.

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 5 mm full wetsuit. If you get cold easily, we recommend also bring gloves and a hood, or even a 7 mm full wetsuit.

Diver requirement
Suitable for all levels of diver from beginners to experienced. However, in the open blue, the current can be strong at times, so divers should to be comfortable with their skills. Embarkation / Disembarkation
Alor liveaboard trips are usually from Maumere to Maumere, guests need to fly to Maumere airport (MOF).
However, some liveaboards often combine Alor with other destinations like Komodo, Banda Sea, Raja Ampat. Then you might only need to arrive or depart from Maumere.

Visa Requirements
Indonesia offers a free visa on arrival service for many nationalities which allows visitors to stay in the country for up to 30 days. A list of countries that are eligible for visa on arrival can be found on the Indonesian Government's Directorate General of Immigration.

Please note: Immigration officials in Indonesia may ask for proof of onward travel (e.g. a return or onward air ticket).

Vaccinations
Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for travellers over the age of 9 months arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission.

Money Matters
The local currency is Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), all liveaboards accept cash payments in USD.
Rupiah can be purchased from all major banks and exchange outlets. Credit and debit cards are also accepted in major hotels, restaurants & shops.

Drones
There are very few restrictions on the use of drones for photography purposes within Indonesia. Please check Drone laws in Indonesia for details.

Komodo

Eau: les températures de l'eau sont généralement supérieure à 28° dans le Nord et plutôt vers 24°/26° dans le sud.

Vêtements: les vêtements légers et aérés sont idéales, prévoir un pull/veste légère pour les soirées.

Vols: les vols vers Labuan Bajo (LBJ) sont accessible principalement depuis Bali (DPS), une connexion devrait arriver entre Jakarta et Labuan Bajo dans peu de temps.

Mer de Banda

Best time for diving
October to November & March to April, the seas are generally calmer during these months and in October to November there is higher chance to see hammerhead sharks. From May to August the surface conditions can get quite rough.

The visibility is generally good to excellent in Banda Sea areas, except in Ambon bay and in other bays for critter dives. Currents are low to moderate on most of the sites, however, strong currents may occur at times.

About temperatures
Air : range between 25°C - 31°C year-round.
Sea : range between 26°C - 29°C year-round.

Wetsuit Recommendation
We recommend a 3 - 5 mm full wetsuit throughout the year.

Diver requirement

Raja Ampat

Période: les croisières plongées sont possible toute l'année a différents endroits, sachant que la haute saison pour l'itinéraire classique est de Novembre à Avril et permet de faire Misool et le Nord. De Mai a Octobre les itinéraire et le nombre de bateaux sont plus restreints et vont principalement a Cendewarashi et Dampier Strait.

Climat: Raja Ampat est situé sur l'Équateur et a un climat tropical chaud et humide. La température de l'air est assez contante toute l'année et peut descendre à 24° C durant la nuit, tandis que le maximum pendant la journée est de 31° C. L'humidité moyenne est de 83 %.

Eau: les températures de l'eau sont généralement supérieure à 27°/29°
