Description

Boat

Maldives Explorer is a 33.5 meters long, 10.5 meters wide professional dive liveaboard with wooden hull, cruises at 12 - 14 knots per hour. It was originally built in 2012, then it was completely refurbished in 2018 with brand new materials and high quality facilities. This will guarantee a smooth operation!

Maldives Explorer is a classic liveaboard with exceptional onboard facilities. The boat is spacious to deliver each guest an intimate vacation. On the main deck, there are the kitchen, both indoor and outdoor dinning areas, an indoor lounge area with a 32 inch full HD TV and Blu-ray disk player with surrounded speaker, media library, board games, Karaoke System and WiFi Access.

On the upper deck is the bridge, the captain's cabin, an outdoor deck with lounge chairs. Finally, you will find a large sundeck (with and without shade) with comfortable sun loungers.

Maldives Explorer promising guests a team of exceptional crew with experienced dive guides and good quality of food and quality service. Above all the luxury liveaboard is ideal for diving, surfing and snorkeling cruises.

Maldives Explorer will be joined by a spacious dhoni, where all diving equipment will be stored. There are 2 Bauer Mariner 320 compressors have ample of capacity to fill the tanks in short time. As well as a spare Bauer Mariner 250 compressor to be on the safe side in case a technical problem would occur.


Cabin

Maldives Explorer has 8 guest cabins for up to 16 guests on scheduled trips. When it comes to charter, the guest can choose triple share, then it can goes up to 22 guests max.

All cabins are equipped with ensuite bathroom, air conditioning and spacious storage area.

2 Seaview Suites :
Located on the upper deck, the best cabin type onboard, each cabin comes with one double bed, lots of seaview windows.

1 Deluxe Cabin :
Located on the main deck, this cabin comes with one double bed, it can be adjust into two single beds side by side upon request, seaview windows.

4 Standard Cabins :
Located on the lower deck, these cabins has double, twin and triple accommodation, some of them comes with one double bed and one single bed, some of them comes with three single beds, portholes.

1 Family Suite :
Located on the lower deck, this cabin comes with the capacity to accommodate 4 guests. It comes with one double beds and two single beds, also can be converted into 4 single beds if needed, portholes.


Diving

  • 17 dives per week, include 1 night, depends on conditions.
  • Only 2 dives will be provided on the day before departure.
  • No dive provided on the day of arrival and departure.
  • All diving will provide experienced guide to lead the dive.

Best Of Maldives Itenary Sample (Male – Male)

Dive sites: North Male – Rasdhoo – Ari – Vaavu – South Male
Duration: 7 – 10 Nights | Number of dives: 3 dives a day & 1 night dive a week

Day 1 : Our staff will receive and welcome you at Velanaa International Airport. They will guide you to the boat for boarding where you will be welcomed with refreshments. General briefing of the boat will be provided on arrival. Dinner will be served in the evening as soon as the guests are settled in. The boat will set sail to the first Dive site in the first light of sunrise. ( 1 check dive)

Day 2 : The ‘Check Dive’ or the first dive of the trip starts on ‘Maagiri’ dive site which is more of a warming up for the upcoming amazing dives our guests will get to experience. Dive sites: Maagiri, Embudhoo Express, Kandooma/Guraidhoo, Alimatha. The last dip of the day will be in ‘Alimatha’ where the boat will anchor for the night and prepare for the next day to start on sail for the next diving stops. (4 Dives)

Day 3 : Ari Atoll is a definite ‘must to’ with gorgeous dive points which lets you enhance your beautiful Maldivian Diving Story. Where rays and sharks are present regardless of the directions of the current. This is one of the favorite of many underwater photographers promising to give breathtaking pictures of the underwater scenery, from big to small creatures of corals. Dive sites: Miyaru Kandu/Dhevana Kandu, Vilamendhoo, 5 Rocks. The last dip of the day will be in ‘5 Rocks’, and the boat will anchor near ‘Dhangethi or Dhigurah’ for the night. (3 Dives)

Day 4 : The main highlights of the day is searching for the presence of whale shark. Once we locate the Whale Shark, we will allow you a chance to snorkel or even Scuba with them. Occasionally, if you are lucky, you just might be able to spot whale shark during dives in ‘Maamiligi or Dhigurah’. Dive sites: Kuda rah thila, Maamigili beyru (whale Shark), Whale Shark Dive (Dive site may change). (3 dives)

Day 5 : With the depth of around 12 to 16 meters, Panathone is a famous manta site with high possibility of manta feed sighting outside the atoll during outgoing current. During incoming currents on the ridge of the atoll, you’ll see what is known as the “Shark City” and dozens of big grey reef sharks mesmerizing your every thought. Dive sites: Rangali Manta, Rai Dhiga, Panathone. (3 dives). After dozens of dives our staff will invite you a BBQ dinner.

Day 6 : Discover numerous Manta Cleaning Stations, extra ordinary pinnacle – rich with marine life. Eagle rays, hawks-bill turtles, napoleon wrasse, school blue stripped snappers, bat fish and fusiliers are some of the creatures you’ll be able to sight and conclude with night manta show. Dive sites: Moofushi Manta Point, Himandhoo Thila, Mayaa Thila, Manta Fesdu/Mayaa Thila. (4 dives)

Day 7 : Watch beautiful movement of large school of grey reef sharks big schools of snappers, jack fishers, fusiliers, barracudas and dog tooth tunas at Bathala Maagau. Fish head is the wonderful place to view schools of fish and many other marine life. If time permits, last dive at Fish Tank will give amazing movements of fish life, specially guitar sharks and rays – Eels are the stars of the show. Dive sites: Fish Head, Fish Tank (Kaafu) / Kuda haa. (3 dives).

Day 8 : Our amazing crew will assist you to cleaning and washing your dive equipment and help you for packing if required. We will guide you through domestic flight to your International Flight checking. Our Team is guaranteed to provide assistance throughout your trip until the very last moment at the Maldives.

Informations pratiques

Maldives Centre

Période: les croisières plongées sont possibles toute l'année, la haute saison est de novembre à mai.

Les visas: le Visa n'est pas nécessaire à l'avance mais est délivrés à l'arrivée. Les voyageurs recevront un visa de 30 jours gratuitement avec un passeport d'une validité d'au moins 6 mois.

Climat: saison Nord-Est : décembre à avril (mousson sèche). Au Sud-Ouest la saison mai-novembre (mousson humide). Les températures sont autour de 30 ° et l'humidité est de 60 à 80 %. Les cyclones sont rares mais possibles en avril / mai et en octobre/novembre. Les températures quotidiennes varient entre 28° et 34° toute l'année.

Eau: La température de l'eau reste cohérente tout au long de l'année à 27°, dans les atolls centraux, elle peut atteindre parfois 30°. La luminosité est assez forte et il est conseille d'avoir un maillot lycra lors des mises à l'eau pour PMT .

Vêtements: De légers vêtements aérées sont parfaits. Beaucoup de soleil presque toute l'année.

Fiches: 2 broches électriques Type G, fiches avec 230 V 50 Hz

Vols: les vols internationaux arrivent directement à partir de nombreux endroits à Malé. Emirates, Qatar, Sri Lankan étant les plus pratiques pour les départs croisières.

-Produits alcool et le porc sont interdits. Une « quantité raisonnable » de tabac est autorisée. -Une taxe de développement des aéroports locaux (ADC), de 25 $US pour tous les voyageurs internationaux pourrait être introduit sous peu.

Devises: la monnaie locale est le Rufiyaa des Maldives (MVR/Rf), mais il est rarement utilisée sur les stations touristiques. La plupart des transactions se font en Dollars américains mais d'autres devises sont acceptées. Les chèques de voyage et cartes de crédit sont largement acceptées, mais 5 % peut être ajouté pour les transactions par carte de crédit.Les distributeurs automatiques de billets se trouvent uniquement à Malé.
