The Phinisi

Boat

The Phinisi was built in 2007, recently it has been transformed into newly the sister boat of The Junk, officially known as ‘Cheng I Sao'. It is a 34 meters long, 8 meters wide professional dive liveaboard, cruises at 8 knots. Like other Siren Fleet yachts, it was built on the Indonesian Island of Sulawesi and is a traditional “Phinisi” handcrafted from ironwood and teak.

The Phinisi features a beautiful indoor air-conditioned lounge with cocktail bar, sofas, 42 inch flatscreen & movie network and library of books & games on the main deck.

Outside of the indoor lounge, there is a covered outdoor dining and refreshment area which provides a fabulous setting for all your meals. All meals are served buffet style and guest may help themselves throughout the day to all soft drinks & snacks that are available.

For those who enjoy the sun, there is an upper level sun-deck with cushioned loungers (un-shaded) for spending quality holiday time!

The Phinisi has an expansive shaded diving deck, with individual set-up area & storage crate. For divers who wish to rent equipment, there are brand-new Aqualung dive equipment rental service onboard, and dive courses also can be provided during the cruise.

Guests will be provided with 12L aluminium tank, weights & belt, a SMB (safety sausage) FREE of charge for the duration of the trip. There is also a camera table, a ger rinse tank, a camera rinse tank, and two deck heads shower.

Cabin

The Phinisi has 7 large air-conditioned cabins, it can welcome up to a maximum of 18 divers:

All cabins have ensuite bathroom, air-con, fan, several cupboards, an in-cupboard safety box, personal audio-visual entertainment system(TV/DVD/music player).

3 Double/Twin Cabins (#1, 4, 5) :
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with one queen size double bed, upon request, it can be converted into two single beds, portholes.

2 Fixed Twin Cabin (#2, 3) :
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with two single beds in L shape, portholes.

2 Quad Cabins (#6, 7) :
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with four single beds (two of them are in bunk style), portholes.

Mergui Archipelago, 11D/10N

Dive areas : High Rock, North and South Twin, Captain’s Rock, Black Rock, Tower Rock, Torres Island.

Day 1: Thailand exit formalities are carried out at the immigration office in Ranong followed by embarkation, lunch, and briefings. These are followed by a short crossing to Kawthung for Myanmar immigration entry formalities after which The Phinisi will cruise into the archipelago.

Days 2 – 9: Your Cruise Director will schedule up to 4 dives per day; 3 day dives and, where possible, a sunset or night dive.

Day 10: We usually schedule 2 morning dives for the last full day on board followed by an afternoon beach visit and snacks at Horseshoe Island before the vessel returns to Kawthung.

Disembarkation Day: Following breakfast on board and immigration clearance out of Myanmar, disembarkation is scheduled for between 09:30 and 10:00am, after which you will visit the Immigration Office in Ranong to obtain an entry stamp back into Thailand before departing on your transfer.

Similan & Surin Islands - 5D/4N or 7D/6N

Dive areas : Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock, Surin Islands.

Diving in Thailand is probably on the must-do agenda for every diver. With interesting topography created by the rocky boulders, alongside excellent marine life, it is easy to see why. The Similan Islands are best reached by liveaboard dive yacht and this 6 night dive safari combines the Similans with Kon Bon, Koh Tachai and reaches northwards as far as Richelieu Rock. Sharks, marbled whip rays, turtles, harlequin shrimp and wondrous soft corals all await the eager diver.

The 4 night Thailand liveaboard adventure allows up to 11 dives, including up to 3 sunset / night dives and combines the Similans with Kon Bon, Koh Tachai and reaches northwards as far as Richelieu Rock.

The 6 night Thailand liveaboard adventure allows up to 19 dives, including up to 4 sunset / night dives and combines the Similans with Kon Bon, Koh Tachai and reaches northwards as far as Richelieu Rock.

Southern Explorer 3D/2N | 10 dives

Dive areas : Koh Phi Phi, King Cruiser, Shark Point, Koh Doc Mai, Racha Yai & Racha Noi.

This short 3 day / 2 night trip explores the Phi Phi Island group, which lies in Phang-Nga bay about 45km east of Phuket.

Day 1 : Embarkation at 08:30 followed by a cruise to the first dive site of a 3 dive day.

Day 2: Up to 4 dives; 3 day dives and a sunset or night dive.

Day 3: After the 3rd dive, the vessel commences her cruise to port for disembarkation around 16:00.

Best of Thailand 11D/10N | 32 - 33 dives

Dive areas : Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock, Surin Islands, Koh Phi Phi, King Cruiser, Shark Point, Koh Haa, Hin Daeng & Hin Muang.

The Best of Thailand itinerary combines our 4 nights Southern Thailand itinerary with the 6 night Similan & Surin Island itinerary to offer guests the opportunity to experience the highlights of both in a single 10 night liveaboard trip.

Day 1:
Embarkation at 18:00 is followed by introductions, safety briefings and dinner.

Day 2 - 9:
Your Cruise Director will schedule up to 4 dives per day; 3 day dives and a sunset or night dive.

Day 10:
Usually 2 morning* dives before cruise to port.

Day 11:
Breakfast on board followed by disembarkation between 09:30 and 10:00 am.
