Boat

ScubaPro I, II, III are operated by Pro Dive Cairns, they are 3 multi-million dollar, fully equipped dive vessels: MV Scubapro I, II and III. All vessels are used in conjunction with trainingand liveaboard operations.

ScubaPro I, II, III were specifically designed to handle all the varying weather conditions inherent to The Great Barrier Reef, and offer a smooth, safe and comfortable ride. All three vessels measuring 23.95m long and 7.35m wide, with cruising speed at 12 knots per hour, twin 240v power outlets.

ScubaPro I, II, III all have three deck levels, a comfortable lounge with dining area, a large sun deck and a large dive deck. There is television, video, music, board games, books onboard.

All three vessels use cooks onboard (not qualified chefs), and serve buffet style meals during the liveaboard trip with plenty of fresh fruit and salads, so there will be a variety of foods available. Please notify the reservations team of your dietary requirements at the time of booking.

ScubaPro I, II, III not sell alcohol onboard, you are more than welcome to bring alcohol onboard, but in moderation as there is limited space on the boat.

Onboard guests will be a mix of snorkellers, certified divers and students completing diving courses such as Open Water, Advanced, Rescue and Divemaster. There will be opportunities throughout the trip to snorkel and socialise with a non-diver if you are travelling with someone who doesn’t dive.

Cabin

ScubaPro I, II, III feature 16 guests cabins in each vessel, it can accommodate 32 guests each.

All cabins are air-conditioned, equipped with plenty of cabin space, access to natural light. All cabins will use shared bathrooms, no ensuite facilities. And there will be no towels supplied.

14 Twin Cabins ：
3 are located on the upper deck, each cabin comes with twin share bunk bed, first come first serve
1 are located on the main deck, comes with twin share bunk bed, first come first serve.
10 are located on th lower deck, each cabin comes with twin share bunk bed

2 Double Cabins ：
Located on the main deck, each cabin comes with one double bed, first come first serve basis.

8 Shared Bathrooms ：
Located on the main deck, each comes with toilet/shower combinations.

Diving

• For 3D/2N GBR trip : 11 dives (including night dives)
• For 4D/4N Ribbon Reef Minke Experience : 10 dives
• Dives will be provided on the day of arrival & departure.
• All divings are self-guided with buddy teams.
• Guides are assigned to those divers who are at risk or to assist.
• Full set of dive gear will be provided to all divers (including dive computer).

3D/2N Great Barrier Reef

This personalised adventure offers an opportunity to participate in up to 11 dives, including two-night dives, as well as some great snorkelling on a variety of our 19 exceptional Outer Reef dive sites over four magnificent reefs: Flynn, Thetford, Milln and Pellowe Reefs.

Diving at different times throughout the day, you will be able to encounter an amazing diversity of marine life including giant clams, majestic sea turtles, graceful stingrays, reef sharks, an incredible variety of tropical fish, spectacular coral formations and consistent underwater visibility. Night diving will introduce a whole new dimension of nocturnal life.

Departing Cairns every day except Tuesday this three-day, two-night liveaboard trip offers a truly memorable and exciting way to fully immerse yourself and experience our magnificent World Heritage Great Barrier Reef environment.

3D/2N Coral Spawning Trip

Coral Spawning is a once a year mass reproductive event where the coral release egg and sperm bundles into the ocean for external fertilisation. This once a year phenomenon is vital to the reefs continual adaptation and long term survival.

Join Pro Dive Cairns for a special 3 Day Coral spawning Dive Adventure, where you will visit up to four easterly outer Great Barrier Reef locations, taking in sites selected for their extravagance of marine life and excellent visibility. Divers get the opportunity to view magnificent hard and soft corals, giant clams, turtles, stingrays and the largest variety of tropical fish, both large and small. With an altered itinerary to include more night dives customers will get the best opportunity to experience this spawning even.

The schedule allows for a total of 11 dives, 4 of which are night dives (conditions permitting) and snorkelling. Cabins onboard are all twin share (2 single beds in the form of a bunk) and there are two double cabins (1 big bed) available upon request. All major international scuba accreditations are accepted and snorkelers / non-divers are most welcome.

4D/3N Ribbon Reef Minke Experience

Pro Dive Cairns is offering special four-day, three-night Minke encounter liveaboards to the Great Barrier Reef. Traveling to the Minke hotspots on the ribbon reefs off Port Douglas and Cooktown, this liveaboard trip is perfect for the diver looking for that next level of marine life encounter.

While Minke's operate on their own schedule and no encounter can ever be guaranteed, the liveaboard format allows for multiple sites popular with migrating Minkes, so encounters are highly likely. If Minkes are encountered at a dive site, divers will have the option to complete one of their up to 10 dives or snorkel with the Minke whales.

All this while still visiting a variety of outer Great Barrier Reef dive locations, giving you the chance to explore the very best of this Natural Wonder of the World. Along with Minke hotspots, you will visit a variety of outer Great Barrier Reef locations, all selected for their extravagance of marine life and excellent visibility.

Pickup & Drop-off

Pro Dive Cairns provides complimentary hotel/hostel transfers from Cairns and the Northern Beaches, as far north as Palm Cove. We do not pick up from private addresses or AirBnbs but can collect passengers from the nearest hotel/hostel or designated pick-up point. Please note we do not pick up from the airport.

Pick up times will vary depending on location so please check your pick up time with our office.

We recommend that you visit our retail shop located on the corner of Grafton and Shields streets the night before your trip to arrange the diving/snorkelling equipment, ensure the necessary paperwork is in order and to ensure your certification details are correct. The shop is open from Monday to Friday 12pm to 6pm.

Please bring the travel voucher from your travel agent and/or course fees, your dive medical if required, cash for lunch, passport or Australia driver's licence, swimwear and a towel.
